Apple's suppliers of the upcoming MacBook Pro lineup are allegedly preparing for the shipments of the said products.
To achieve this goal, they have to compromise by slowing down the delivery of the current MacBook models.
According to the sources who know the matter, it was the same thing that happened at the time of AirPod Pro's launch.
Next-Gen MacBook Pros
In a report by Macrumors this week, the Cupertino tech giant might be preparing for the release of the new lineup of MacBook Pros. The product is expected to come in two variants: the 14-inch and the 16-inch model.
Additionally, the next-gen laptops are expected to be equipped with two powerful chips known as M2 Pro and M2 Max. Apple has not yet shared any information about these processors.
According to Mark Gurman, a journalist from Bloomberg, the iPhone maker is potentially setting things up for the event next month.
The tech writer said that the company would feature the new iPads and Macs during the occasion. He believes that Apple is thoroughly planning to introduce some improvements for these products in the future.
More importantly, its potential launch could kick off this fall, Gurman added.
Apple to See a Decline in Shipments
Per Taiwan-based news site DigiTimes, Apple will see a slight decrease in the shipment rate this year. The research team of the publication noted that the on-year decline would just hit 1.4%.
Among the six PC brands that have dominated the market so far, Acer recorded the highest year-on-year decrease at 33.2%, followed by HP at 22.6% and Dell at 18%.
According to people familiar with the situation, Apple is currently pulling in orders. It might take some time for the company to regain what has been lost during Q2 2022.
In July, one of Apple's suppliers, Quanta Computer, reportedly witnessed an increasing trend in its revenues. The sources said it's attributed to the Shanghai lockdown, which struck the shipments during the second quarter.
Apparently, it saw the same trend in August. This month, the MacBook Pro played an important role in improving its shipments.
However, the next few months will be much different as the supplier will feel the pressure on the shipment.
The drop in the market share did not only hit MacBook Pros. Other than that, the TWS (true wireless stereo) market has also been affected, per Canalys, a market research organization.
The only time Apple can get back on track is when the iPhone 14 sales become on-demand. Despite the ongoing inflation and economic struggle globally, there's so much room to explore in this area.
A previous report from Tech Times suggested using the Vivid app could double the brightness display on your MacBook Pro.
