Campworks has redesigned the Campworks NS-1 that can now store energy and use it to power up your Electric Vehicle (EV), as reported by Electrek. The first NS-1 was released last year, 2021.
Now, the company is building campers that are powered by 100% battery to be functional and rugged for just any type of terrain.
The Redesigned Version
The NS-1 comes with 5,000W mobile off-grid energy at 240V and 1,840Wh solar energy. It boasts of steel-plated under the body and 31" off-road tires. On all sides, the redesigned NS-1 is equipped with 2" thermal insulation.
The camper has a complete kitchen with pull-out counter space extending to nine feet, a dual-burner cooktop, cookware storage, and LED lighting.
It can be plugged into any Global Charging Input outlet to charge it. Additionally, you can get your EV with J1772 EV charging input and stage 1 and 2 compatibilities.
With the NS-1, you get to be your own energy and grid while on the road. In a statement, Kristian Rene, Campworks Director of Community, said, "We were challenged to stop at nothing, which required us to integrate the WHY of what we're building."
The new redesign allowed the company to reach a new level by accessing power more efficiently and safely.
With that, it makes cross-country travel easier without the need for charging stations. The company's goal is to provide real-living solutions that adhere to its slogan, "Live Where You Are."
Campworks emphasizes the power of energy and how you can do almost anything with it, which makes it a currency in today's world. Therefore, the redesign will allow people to respond in real-time to opportunities. It works like a power bank that lets individuals and organizations deliver and share energy.
They also believe that even if energy is valuable, it should still be managed property. Therefore, the energy operator must be able to travel with the generator.
Making Everything More Accessible
The applications of the newly-redesigned NS-1 will provide users with bigger and better space to live with off-grid power. It can also help healthcare professionals in developing countries reach out to patients by having enough power to secure medications and supplies while giving them a space to rest and live comfortably.
Indeed, this caravan from Campworks makes many lives a lot easier and more things possible.
You can get the Campworks NS-1 EV for $65,000 with a $1,000 fully refundable deposit. Production is expected to begin in November, with deliveries as early as mid-December. Upon placing your order, you will be invited to join a kickoff meeting with a Campworks Adventure Advocate via email.
