A report from AutoEvolution states that Aptera officially launches its three-wheeler solar electric vehicle named Gamma during the Fully Charged Live event in the company's hometown San Diego.
This was followed after releasing interior images of the upcoming solar electric vehicle last month as a teaser. This is one the company's biggest achievements as the production of the SEV approaches next year.
Last 2020, Aptera introduced one of its flagship vehicles which were followed by another three different alpha versions that have black, white, and metallic exterior. This proves that Aptera is one of the companies that contribute to the booming of solar electric vehicles in the United States.
Gamma's Features
The company offers a futuristic exterior design made with lightweight materials and a low-drag profile, powered by solar charging. These all combined in one vehicle as explained by Electrek. As solar vehicles depend on the energy from the sun, future Aptera Gamma drivers will not be needing to charge their vehicles in different charging stations like other EVs do.
The company stated on their website that it is "built into every vehicle and is designed to harvest enough sunlight to travel over 11,000 miles (17,700 km) per year in most regions." These are based on the weather in San Diego as it is more favorable to solar electric vehicles than colder locations.

Production and Starting Price
Aptera will be accelerating to the mass production stage in an 80,000-square-foot facility in California as reservations for the vehicle increased to 32,000, of which 10,000 of those were pre-order in the last four months.
The three-wheeler and two-seater vehicles will start at $29,500 and will double the price based on the battery and solar panel capacity of the purchased vehicle. Pre-orders can be made through Aptera's website, in which consumers will be charged $100 for a reservation.
Beta Versions of the SEV
Track footage has been shared through Aptera's social media pages after working with beta versions of the SEV for the past three months. Aptera Vehicle Designer Jason Hill said that several improvements to the interior design have been made which includes seats, door, and instrument panels.
On Twitter, the company showcased additional three Aptera SEV alpha versions that were mentioned before. Aptera Co-Founder Chris Anthony stated, "After that (alpha phase), we will have all the betas being completed for the development vehicles to send to suppliers, and will probably work on a couple pretty versions of that into next year and will be able to show people,"
