A new video game is coming soon, and it would center on two famous Marvel superheroes, Captain America and Black Panther, focusing on a story that centers on World War II. The recent D23 Disney and Marvel Games Showcase unveiled the new untitled game, with Skydance New Media developing the new title, with director Amy Hennig in the lead.
Black Panther, Captain America AAA Game is Coming
D23 Expo unveiled a new AAA game from its library from its recent Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, which would center on two renowned Marvel heroes known for their future role in the Avengers. Black Panther and Captain America are teaming up during the World War II era on this new title, with their goals to eradicate the scientific, military division known as "Hydra."
It will feature four heroes in the game, with Azzuri's (T'Challa's grandfather) WWII version of the Black Panther donning the Wakandan hero mantle in the game, Steve Rogers' Captain America, Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos (under Cap's unit), and Nanali, a leader of the Wakandan spy network.
These heroes would fight the same war, all dedicated to stopping Hydra and its influence on then-World War II.
Skydance New Media, Disney, Marvel to Develop
The famous "Uncharted" games director, Amy Hennig, will lead the game's development via Skydance New Media, centering on an interactive action-adventure title with its plot set in the Marvel Universe. The game was previously teased by Skydance Media, where it was thought of to be a Fantastic Four game with the cosmic-powered crime-fighting family.
AAA Marvel Games in the Present
There are many Marvel games in the present, available for gamers to enjoy from known publishers and developers, which bring the comic book heroes and villains available for access via different platforms. These games are known as "AAA" rated, with these titles receiving massive budgets for their development, with one example being Insomniac Games' "Marvel's Spider-Man" in 2018.
Another AAA game under the Marvel Universe is the "Marvel's Avengers" from Crystal Dynamics and formerly Square Enix, featuring the Earth's mightiest heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and more.
Take-Two Interactive is on the verge of releasing the "Marvel Midnight Suns" game as well, but it presently saw delays for the game's availability.
These titles present a significant development in their production, with the games offering stunning visuals, original stories adapted from comic books, and special elements which complete the experience.
An upcoming game from Disney, Marvel, and Skydance New Media's Hennig will dawn games in the future, with two on-screen favorite Avengers donning their early iterations to take on Hydra's menacing presence in the world. The AAA game remains untitled, but it promises a unique storyline that will bring four heroes to fight a war to save the world.
