A robot as a company CEO, is it possible? Well, it turns out that this is the case of NetDragon Websoft, a Chinese metaverse that officially appointed an AI-powered humanoid bot as its chief executive.
According to Times Now News, Ms. Tang Yu is the first robot in the world to be designated for the executive position.
This might be taken from a page of a sci-fi novel, but, indeed, humanoid robots are slowly taking over humans when it comes to the usual tasks.
Humanoid Robot is NetDragon Websoft's CEO
When you look at how advanced artificial intelligence is, you might question why they exist in the first place.
Actually, many people are growing fascinated with them because they can accomplish hard tasks with ease--faster than what a human being can do on a regular day.
Going back to the old days, it's impossible to give a human activity to a machine because it does not have a brain to think nor a heart to feel.
Recently, a Chinese corporation that is focused on the metaverse has broken the barriers between AI and humans.
According to WION, NetDragon Websoft is known for launching mobile games and other apps. Upon making an unbelievable tech sector move, the company aims to "leapfrog operational efficiency to a new level."
As CEO, Tang Yu is expected to perform at a high level. As such, the humanoid robot will be assigned to handle the "organizational and efficiency department."
Additionally, the female bot will be at the corporation's forefront in operations. It will be responsible for overseeing the activities happening inside the corporation.
"Tang Yu will streamline process flow, enhance the quality of work tasks, and improve speed of execution. Tang Yu will also serve as a real-time data hub and analytical tool to support rational decision-making in daily operations, as well as to enable a more effective risk management system," NetDragon Websoft said in a press release.
Tang Yu is the Future of Corporate Management
Although it's hard to imagine how far technology has reached nowadays, we can't simply remove the fact that we are now living with machines.
From decision-making to strategizing, some companies rely on artificial intelligence's capability to produce desirable results.
Tang Yu's case is quite similar to this situation. Per Times Now News, the AI humanoid robot will play a vital role in searching for and developing potential talents inside the company.
With that being said, this robot will ensure that the workplace will be fair to all workers.
According to NetDragon chairman Dr. Dejian Liu, Tang Yu is a symbol of the company's commitment to AI use. He believes this humanoid robot can pave the way for smoother business operations and strategic growth.
Five years ago, Alibaba founder Jack Ma predicted that a robot could likely be on the front cover of Time Magazine 30 years from now. The Chinese tycoon added that the robot would be hailed as the best CEO at that time.
