Tesla Model Y has proven once again that its safety rating is beyond impressive, as it earned a five-star score from ANCAP and Euro NCAP.
Previously, the automaker has achieved a top safety rating from NHTSA. The agency gave the company the highest IIHS score at the time.

Why Did Tesla Model Y Lose Some Points in ANCAP Test?
Speaking of child occupant protections, it's noticeable that the American automaker's scores are quite low because it's not designed for child seats.
"Installation of typical child restraints available in Australia and New Zealand showed most child restraints could be accommodated in the rear seating positions, however the Type A capsule and one of the selected booster seats could not be correctly installed in the center rear seating position."
Electrek reported that some points from the Tesla Model Y had slipped away because of its struggle to protect road users.
ANCAP cited that the company's protection is either weak or poor, particularly when we are talking about the windscreen base and pillars.

Another thing to take note of about the car's safety rating is the autonomous emergency braking system.
According to Euro NCAP, the Vision camera system of Model Y showed "remarkably well" performance. It turns out that it's helpful not just for pedestrians but also for cyclists.
