Elon Musk is advertising the Tesla Powerwall to the public, and it talks about the use of the clean energy power management system at home that provides 'blackout protection' for all. However, there is a catch now in purchasing the Powerwall, as Tesla requires a bundle purchase for it with the company's Solar Roof device as stocks are low for the home battery storage system.
Elon Musk: Tesla Powerwall for Blackout Protection, Stocks Coming
The world's top billionaire announced via his Twitter page that the Tesla Powerwall is a device that may help in blackout protection, especially during emergency situations. Instead of suffering from power outages, the Powerwall would ensure that electricity will keep the lights and essential needs on, with its stored power.
However, a question from Sawyer Merritt asked an important question to the tech CEO which raised the concern of future buyers of the Tesla device. Merritt asked if the Powerwall is available for purchase as a standalone device, and does not require a bundle with the Tesla Solar device in the current sale of the clean energy device.
Powerwall Needs Tesla Solar Bundle Upon Purchase
Musk said that the Powerwall's stocks are "too low" for individual purchase of the battery storage system, and people interested in the device would require the purchase of the Tesla Solar as well. The bundle is required for the present's purchase, but by the end of the year, the Powerwall's stocks would see development and may sell independently from the bundle.
Tesla Powerwall and its Solar Roof
Tesla is a clean energy company that expanded its technology to not only bring electric vehicles with zero emission features but also to transform the home into a sustainable place. At first, the Tesla Powerwall is to help regulate charging for the company's electric cars, but now it serves as a standalone device to help in-home use for different households.
The only problem that the Tesla Powerwall is facing now is a shortage to produce the device due to chip issues still present in the tech industry.
However, Musk previously claimed that for Tesla Solar to work its magic and full features, it needs the Powerwall inclusion to bring clean energy to the household and store what the roof gathers daily. The Tesla CEO said that the bundle is required for users, as the Powerwall complements the Solar Roof (and vice versa) for its many functions.
Now, there is a new development to the Powerwall's purchase from Tesla, as Musk claims that it only comes as a bundle with the Tesla Solar for the time being. Nevertheless, ample supplies of the Powerwall are coming before the year ends, and it would help in bringing what a sustainable home needs for its transition to clean energy regulation.
