Fortnite Collaborates with Bungie, Recreates Destiny 2's Javelin-4 Map within Creative Toolset

Fortnite crossovers and collaborations with other universes, franchises, and media personnel such as Spiderman, Goku, Bruno Mars, and more, will be much developed as it brings one of the well-loved maps from Destiny's Crucible mode as reported by GiantFreakinRobot.

The Javelin-4 map was recreated within Fortnite's Creative Toolset. Bungie was also involved and hands-on regarding the map recreation. The results of the reconstructed map are very identical despite only using Fornite's existing assets which made it more difficult to build.

Although some changes can be seen that might not match the original map perfectly, the general and overall appearance of the outcome was incredibly built and will make the fans not disappointed with the adaptation.

In an interview conducted by IGN, Bungie's Lead Concept Artist Dima Goryainov said that the map was made entirely of existing materials from Fortnite and they only provided visual guidance to the team. She added, "They did an amazing job in finding creative ways to use existing assets in order to closely recreate this iconic map,".

More Features Added from Destiny 2

Together with this map, the collaboration also includes the three character tiers from Destiny which are, Titan, Warlock, and Hunter with their own familiar weapons and abilities.

Along with this collaboration, Fortnite also crossed over Destiny as some skins will be repurposed in the game as new Guardians as reported by Polygon. This will include Black Knight, Drift, and Oblivion. Meanwhile, Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Exo Stranger were also brought to the game by Destiny 2.

The collaboration between the two is a perfect timing as Destiny celebrates its fifth anniversary. Bungie Art Lead Josh Deeb said in a statement through IGN that "One way is by celebrating these beloved characters by reimagining their iconic looks through the visual lens of Destiny. It is an exciting challenge for our artists to create ornaments that capture the essence of the skin or character, but also feel authentic to our players and world."

This is not Destiny's first crossover with other games as they recently collaborated with Halo and introduced guns from the game. However, this will be Destiny's first crossover with this intensity by introducing maps, characters, armor, and more to other games.

Fortnite's Other Collaboration This Month

Fortnite brought a few weeks ago one of their anime crossovers with Dragon Ball Super via the V21.40 update where users can see Goku in action as reported by The Verge.

An event was introduced where cosmetics, maps, and weapons can be obtained when unlocked by users. Epic Games also provided Battle Pass levels, emotes, sprays, and Dragon Radar Back Bling.
