The last time we heard about an all-female team joining the mixed competitive "League of Legends" scene, it was about Russian team Vaevictis Esports losing 52-2 in the LoL Continental League back in 2019. This is not about the team being comprised of female LoL players, but such a record is something no team wants to be known with.
A report from Mashable tells us that another all-female team will be making its way to the "LoL" major leagues. Is this the time for them to claim their own standing along the top LoL teams and further establish visibility in the said esports platform?
G2 Esports Announces First All-Female 'League of Legends' Roster
G2 Esports is tagged as one of the most prominent esports organizations in the world up-to-date. With the organization's excellent outing in its past invitational tournaments, G2 proves to be a real threat in the "League of Legends" esports scene.
The team finished 1st in both the Spring and Summer editions of the LEC 2022 League. Moreover, they also secured a 3rd to 4th place finish in MSI 2022, bagging a cash prize of $25,000. G2 Esports' winning LEC roster will remain to represent the organization in future League of Legends tournaments.

In their official announcement, the esports organization said that they will be now managing two "League of Legends" rosters with the addition of G2 Hel. G2 Hel Roster Revealed
If you are familiar with Norse Mythology, the all-female team is named after a powerful character who is said to rule the underworld. Marvel cinematic depicts the goddess as a being who almost defeated Thor and, most importantly, overpowered Mjolnnir. Could the team prove to be as powerful in the League of Legends competitive scene?
G2's efforts to give elite gamers the chance to compete at the highest levels, regardless of their gender, and to support them as they develop as players and entertainers continue with the launch of G2 Hel.
Here is the complete G2 Hel roster:
Top: Olivia "Lizia" Calistua
Jungle: Agnė "Karina" Ivaškevičiūtė
Mid: Alena "TIFA" Maurer
AD Carry: Maya "Caltys" Henckel
Support: Ève "Colomblbl" Monvoisin
"Since I started my esports journey I've only had two goals in mind: to be the best and play with the best. I still have a long way to go, but joining G2 is a big step in the right direction," says AD carry player Maya "Caltys" Henckel.
"It's very exciting to be a part of, literally, the best escort organization in Europe and I couldn't imagine better teammates to start this next chapter with," Henckel adds.
The formation of this new team could prevent another 0-3 worlds finals this year, G2 Esports teases its fans.
In other news, a women's League of Legends global esports circuit, like its Valorant Game Changers program, is something Riot Games is hinting about implementing. According to Esports News UK, Riot has previously explored such a move internally, but today's news that G2 Esports has signed a women's League of Legends team has advanced the concept.
