For the past few years, many companies have been trying to replace technologies that rely on fossil fuels with models that can work using the sun's power.

Among these are water heating gadgets. Business Wire reported that conventional water heaters are now being replaced by solar water heaters (SWH).

As the demand for eco-friendly water heating solutions drastically increases, researchers expect the SWH market to achieve a valuation of $4.3 billion around 2027.

Solar Water Heater's Rising Demand

As of writing, many experts and organizations are still developing different models of SWH.

Recently, BBC reported that an engineer in Scotland was able to create a portable water heating device that relies on solar power.

His work is just one of the new SWH systems in the market. Now, this water heating solution uses the so-called collector for those unfamiliar with the solar water heater tech.

This component is responsible for storing the sun's solar energy, which the SWH system will use to heat a working fluid pumped by natural convection.

The International Energy Agency claimed that using solar water heaters could reduce the cost of heating water by between 25% and 50%.

Because of SWH's efficiency, international governments and governmental agencies are still investing in the solar water heater market.

Where are SWH Systems Located?

Solar water heater systems offer various benefits. The hot water they provide can help in bathing, washing dishes, and other similar activities.

This means that private households are among the places where SWHs are commonly located. Of course, commercial companies also use solar water heating systems.

These include hotels, restaurants, stores, etc. Even manufacturing plants also rely on solar water heating systems.

There are various types of SWHs, such as active solar water-heating systems, passive solar water heating systems, indirect solar water heating systems, and direct solar water heating systems.
