T-Mobile is adding Apple TV Plus access for subscribers to its Magenta Max plan which costs $85 per month. The feature used to only be free for a year but with the recent changes, it will be made free permanently.
T-Mobile is Adding Permanent Apple TV Plus as Part of Its Magenta Max Deal
According to the story by CNet, T-Mobile is increasing the perks that subscribers can get when they use the company's most expensive plan, the Magenta Max. As recently announced, users will be able to get Apple TV Plus as part of the perks that they will receive within the bundle.
The new addition is expected to go into effect soon and will be available for not just new users but also for existing users of the Magenta Max plan. This means that for older users, their perks will be updated with the addition of the Apple TV Plus.
Previous Deal Only Offered One Year Free Access to Apple TV Plus
In the past, the Carrier only gave a year of free access for the Apple TV Plus to those that subscribed to either the Magenta or the Magenta Max. Those that use the Magenta plan on T-Mobile will still be able to get a free six-months trial of the Apple TV Plus.
The option, however, is only available for those that have not yet taken advantage of the free year promotion for the service. As of recently, T-Mobile will be offering a free year of Apple TV Plus for those that are using just the Magenta subscription and not the Magenta Max plan.
Apple TV Plus Free Year for Magenta Plan Only Available Until August 31
The free year of Apple TV Plus will reportedly also be offered for a number of older Sprint and T-Mobile plans. The carrier announced that the one-year offer will be open until August 31 only.
With the addition of Apple TV Plus, T-Mobile is offering four different streaming services for its most expensive cellular plan. The carrier reportedly bundled Netflix with both Magenta and Magenta Max plans.
Other Streaming Services Being Bundled as Part of Different Plans
Netflix for Magenta only had the basic version while the HD-capable Standard version of Netflix was being offered for the Magenta Max plan. Aside from the free year of Apple TV Plus, users will also get a free year of Paramount Plus Essentials for its mobile users.
The carrier has also added a free year of Vix Plus which is a Spanish-language streaming service that was created by TelevisaUnivision. The addition of the Vix Plus is available for both the Magenta and Magenta Max users.
Wireless carriers have been ramping up their streaming services in order to attract users and make them upgrade to more expensive cellphone plans. An example of this is how Verizon has been offering the Disney bundle which includes Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus.
