Months after the invasion started between Ukraine and Russia, companies, especially tech businesses, are still heavily affected by its impact. Dell Technologies Inc. recently suspended all of its operations in Russia because of this, as reported first by PCMag.
This was confirmed by a spokesperson who said that offices and operations were closed in mid-August. Following the suspension, employees of the company have started looking for and receiving different job offers from St. Petersburg and Moscow.
Other Companies' Move
This was not the first time that a company stopped its operations because of the feud, as some companies have left the country to operate in much safer areas. Intel and Nokia did the same, while IBM laid off their employees as the ongoing war had affected the company.
CEO of IBM Arvid Krishna stated that "As the consequences of the war continue to mount and uncertainty about its long-term ramifications grows, we have now made the decision to carry out an orderly wind-down of IBM's business in Russia."
Google also followed with other companies as they filed for bankruptcy in the country. The reason for them to lay off their workers was the company could not afford their salaries and pays.
Alongside this, Russia fined several tech companies over data storage, such as Twitch, Pinterest, Airbnb, UPS, and Google, which was fined $370 million as it promoted the "dissemination of misleading information" through its video-streaming platform, Youtube.

Halted Sales Production
Last March, Dell, joining different affected companies, suspended their product sales to monitor the whole situation and assess in order for them to provide concrete solutions on what the company will do regarding employees that will be affected by the war, based on a report from The Wall Street Journal reported.
As several companies also halted their sales production, sanctions were increased by Western diplomats. The United States and European Union used their power to block the central bank of Russia.
Together with this are the sanctions that the EU has fined Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister.
Just this month, diplomats have been requesting for both countries to end the fight after the reports of shelling at Zaporizhzhia in southeast Ukraine. Explosions were also heard during that time that resulted in damage and several problems in the power system.
No radiation leak was reported during the explosion.
