Google is reportedly developing a new Tensor chip that would be its third generation release of the famous SoC that it first introduced with 2021's Pixel 6 smartphone. The device is coming for the 2024 Pixel 8, and its manufacturer is Samsung's chip division that creates silicon processors for different devices, available for partnership.
Google's 3rd Gen Tensor Chip is Under Development for 2024
Android Central reports that many speculators and leakers have already brought news regarding the 3rd generation Google Tensor chip, claiming that the device is already under development for 2024. The device still focuses on a Silicon-made processor that would power the Pixel 8 smartphone, says the reports, with the device under the codename "Cloudripper."
Galaxy Club initially claimed that Samsung was developing the device for Google under the company's chip development division that brings different processors and internal components.
The chip number for the third generation Tensor is S5P9865, succeeding the previous chip numbers from earlier Google chips S5P9845 for the first generation release for the Pixel 6 and the 2nd gen S5P9855 for the Pixel 7.

Pixel 8: Samsung to Create Tensor Chip for Google
According to the rumors, the chip is now under the dev board known as "Ripcurrent," with many claims from the reports about the new Tensor that is already developing despite a long wait for the device. The Google Tensor reportedly relies on Samsung's development for the device, with the System-on-chip arriving for the 2024 device company.
Google's Tensor Chip
Google first released the Tensor chip for its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro lineup last October 2021, and it shocked the world with the new processor that focuses on a design by the internet company.
It takes a page from Apple and Samsung, both of whom are famous for their silicon chip designs, namely the A-series bionic chips and the Exynos, something which Galaxy S devices will no longer use in the future.
The new processors bring significant advancement to its smartphone devices, with previous reviews seeing development for its use and features. It is one unexpected move from Google, but it came during a time when chip development is seeing a notable dispute over shortage and production issues that the world previously faced.
Still, this new development from Google only shows that the company is capable of creating a chip from its design and producing what it thinks suits its devices to maximize its use and functions. Pixel 7's 2nd gen Tensor is coming next year, and while that is already in production, its next-in-line device is also under development.
