According to a report by The Verge, users trying to get into the StudentAid website are facing a tough time accessing the service as it is either crashing for them or is down. Different experiences appeared online, where users bring their complaints to the service in trying to access the website for their needs.

Accessing StudentAid.gov will have users face a queue for entering the site itself and login into its systems. However, previous reports claim that users find it hard to log in to the system or get to the login page at the current time.

Users also reported the issue via DownDetector, where there are multiple complaints regarding its access and use for the student's needs.

Federal Agency for Student Aid (FAFSA) is a way for the government to provide relief and financial aid to students for their education, especially those significantly affected by the pandemic.

Users bring their concerns via Twitter and address their hardships in getting their loan approved, paired with the accessibility concerns due to the overloading of its website.

Government Websites Crashing

Websites from the government offer different services online, but not all of them can handle a massive volume of visitors like any other site available in the world. One of the recent crashes for the US government website is the free COVID test kits website that aims to bring the antigen rapid testing kits available for all users.

During its first availability, the website could not take the number of users trying to secure their test kits from the government.

However, not all crashes or downs are from volumes of users trying to get into the service. One example would be the Log4Shell malware attacks that plagued Canadian government websites with the threat of the malicious program threatening the use and availability of these online platforms.

Nevertheless, it only shows that the public needs a lot from the government's offers, and these sites should handle the heavy load as there are many citizens in the country that aims to use its services.

StudentAid is an essential website now, especially as school terms are about to start and enrollment for institutions is already accepting applicants. Those aiming to enroll this coming September need to secure financial aid from the government via the said platform.
