Gamescom 2022's Gamescom Opening Night Live really went off with exciting new announcements from various game titles. Along with updates about "Return to Monkey Island," "Homeworld," and more, the games culture conference and trade fair uncovered the release date for Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties.
Wccftech reports that along with this announcement, video game company Techland confirmed that they would be adding FSR 2.0 to the Dying Light 2 Community Update. This update is primarily based on the feedback coming from Dying Light players and fans.
Dying Light 2 Community Update Includes FSR 2.0 Addition and More
IGN tells us that FSR 2.0 is the "next-level AMD temporal upscaling technology designed to deliver similar or better than native image quality and boost framerates in supported games across a wide range of products and platforms."

This feature from the American processor and semiconductor company will greatly enhance Dying Light 2's image quality and framerate. Moreover, players can now enjoy the same level of graphics no matter what device they are on.
Aside from the addition of FSR 2.0, the community update also highlights new options for gameplay presentations. Dying Light 2 players can now choose 'Gritty' in the games Video Settings color grading option. This particular option lets players experience the game like its 'grimmer' 2019 version.
Finally, after enough uproar from fans. The game will now have an option to turn off its Chromatic Aberration feature. Many Dying Light 2 fans claim that chromatic aberration disrupts their gameplay. This effect distorts the colors around an in-game object and instead causes red and blue auras to blur away the object's edges.
This update will also implement screen space ambient occlusion and clarity enhancements which are major graphics improvements for the game. Furthermore, weapon mods will now affect weapons' maximum durability.
As for gameplay changes and additions, Dying Light 2 will be adding more Biters around The City to provide more challenges for players. Also, these biters are now programmed to be more aggressive during the night.
During the night, players will also trigger more Special Infected to come out. This means more night encounters with the Special Infected. Virals will now be more vigilant to fights happening nearby.
Meanwhile, this community update adds some changes to both PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. For the PS5 version, the game will finally add Balanced Mode and Variable Refresh Rate support for 'Performance Mode.'
For the Xbox Series X version, its Balanced Mode will have increased resolution. Both the versions will now have Resolution Mode work in 4K/30 FPS.
Techland Announces Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties Release Date
According to PCGamer, Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties will be the first story-based DLC to be added to the game. Instead of being a total zombie parkour game, this DLC will shift the game's focus to a gladiatorial arena. In the Carnage Hall arena, players will engage in combat with other warriors in front of a ruthless crowd.
According to the trailer released at Gamescom, the expansion DLC will be out on October 13, not September like the first game teasers revealed.
