These days, artificial intelligence is not only limited to robot commands. Musicians and other artists are also benefiting from it at present.
Actually, there's an AI app that can be a huge help for struggling rappers. Those MCs facing difficulties finding the perfect rhymes for their songs can now take advantage of iRap.
iRap For Easier Songwriting For the Rappers
Mastering the art of weaving a soothing yet impactful composition is one of the best talents every rapper should learn. In rap music, every lyrical touch should weight to throw on the listeners.
At times when musician's block (a counterpart of writer's block) strikes, an artist could struggle in searching for the right words to write on a piece.
This would make him/her feel out of touch and struggle in lyric writing. According to Mix Mag, iRap could be an answer to this problem among rappers.
This AI app makes use of both the machine-learning algorithm and speech-to-text mechanism. iRap simply gives you better suggestions that will fit your rap song, and it will be based on the rhyming flow.
BrainRap, the creative startup behind this software, established itself as a modern leader in the field of music and neuroscience.
With the help of Micah Brown, a musician, and CJ Carr, a programmer who is a pro in machine learning, the company managed to spot the weak points of some rappers.
Of course, the startup won't thrive alone with this pair. Red, a music-technology firm, also helped it develop an AI app for struggling rap artists.
"There's Abbey Road's obvious connection to the Beatles, but I've also seen Kano perform there. For me as a Black Brit, as a south Londoner who grew up with not very much, being included there was a huge deal," Brown told The Guardian in an interview.

How iRap Works
With the application of algorithmic language models, aspiring rappers and those who can't find the appropriate rhymes on their lyrics can lend some help from iRap.
According to Carr, the AI app is focused on preserving the same meaning of the lyrics while shuffling the placement of the words and phrases. As such, this software relies on the alliteration of the "nouns, verbs, and adjectives" to bring out the best possible outcome of the piece.
Moreover, Carr used the phrase "big red dog" as an example. The deep learning engineer said that iRap could suggest "colossal crimson canine" so it would be more appealing to the ears.
The demo app still has a long way to go since the creators spotted human biases when using it. For instance, the word "rapper" appears to be synonymous with "pimps" and "thugs," which is not always applicable.
In the future, iRap could also tackle how to deal with colloquial language so it could be more suitable to every rapper in any country.
Despite these flaws, BrainRap has changed the music industry's game. Hip-hop will continue to evolve as more technologies contribute to its limitless improvement and pace.
