As for writing, the software is still one step ahead of artificial intelligence-based systems. Although this is the case, AI innovations can get their spotlight, especially in the entertainment industry.

Meta and other companies are now using artificial intelligence to create virtual worlds that people can use to have better online experiences.

Of course, games are also included in the digital content that uses AI systems. Now, Inworld AI also wants its artificial intelligence-based virtual characters to be used in popular titles.

Aside from online titles, these virtual avatars are also useful when it comes to entertainment and marketing campaigns.

Because of its advanced AI-powered services, it was able to attract lots of investors.

Since companies see that the demand for AI-based virtual characters is rising, Inworld AI was able to secure a Series A round led by Intel Capital and Section 32.

This $50 million financial assistance was also made possible thanks to the investments made by Microsoft's M12, Micron Ventures, LG Technology Ventures, NTT Docomo Ventures, SK Telecom Venture Capital, Kleiner Perkins, and Founders Funds.

Because of this, the total capital of the AI virtual avatar maker is now around $70 million.

The company's CEO, Ilya Gelfenbeyn, who is also the founder of the tech firm, said that the funding they acquired from investors will be used for product development, as well as hiring and research activities.

Inworld AI Brings Better NPCs

Venture Beat reported that Inworld AI could bring NPCs (non-player characters) for gaming, business, and metaverse applications.

The virtual avatars it offers are expected to be better than the existing ones in popular video games.

"With Inworld, you can create gaming NPCs (non-playable characters), native populations for virtual worlds, virtual influencers, brand representatives, in-world guides, and digital humans," said Gelfenbeyn.

He added that these NPCs could lead to better online relationships between users, allowing them to have deeper virtual engagements.

Meanwhile, the EU's Artificial Intelligence Act is expected to counter the potential dangers posed by AIs.

On the other hand, a new AI-powered hologram was able to make an efficient virtual representation of a dead woman.
