Ford is restructuring its company and recently announced its layoffs for its workforce of about 3,000 jobs in the company to focus on "clarity and speed" for its manufacturing. The company aims to let go of traditional practices that it still holds on to up to now, with its focus on the future, bringing a great emphasis on its EVs and clean energy cars.
Ford Removes 3,000 Employees from Their Jobs as Part of 'Restructuring'
Ford is focusing on new things, and the restructuring of its company lets go of 3,000 employees who received the memo from Chairman Bill Ford and CEO Jim Farley.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the staff layoffs were made known to the company last Monday and said that it would focus on better things for the company in the future.
Additionally, the memo discussed how it would aim for "focus, clarity, and speed" as part of its restructuring and allocate the resources and cost structure for its future ventures.
The company said that the layoff is essential, especially with changing traditional methods and focusing on its progression as a car company.

Ford Lets Go of Traditional Methods, Embracing Change
According to The Verge, the layoffs will focus on 2,000 regular employees directly under Ford and 1,000 contract workers from agencies. Ford's modernization of procedures and focus came during the time it was centering on its clean energy vehicles.
The Verge also notes that a spokesperson from Ford claimed that it is removing more employees from the Ford Blue department, which are under the company's internal combustion engine (ICE) division.
Ford and its Vehicle Production Now
The Dearborn, Michigan-based company is focusing its efforts on a more significant cause, and it is for clean energy vehicles to arrive in the world, focusing on electric cars that rely on battery power. With that, the company already had an initial employee layoff for 8,000 people working under them, concentrating on allocating funds for its future EV ventures.
Ford aims to debut more electric vehicles and achieve its electrification goal by the decade ends, something which would turn the then ICE company into a clean energy-focused corporation.
Its recent investment focuses on $20 billion funding to boost its electric vehicle ventures, including the production and conceptualization of new models.
Currently, there is the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the F-150 Lightning pickup truck from the company that headlines its fully-electric vehicles available for the world. Still, it will soon grow its lineup for future releases. Nevertheless, Ford aims to bring progress for its future ventures, but necessary sacrifices need to happen, says the company.
