Neuralink Progress Update Event Coming on Halloween, Elon Musk Confirms

Neuralink is soon holding its "update show and tell" event, and Elon Musk announced it for the world this coming spooky season, October 31, the day of Halloween. For the longest time now, people have asked for an update regarding what is happening to one of Musk's companies that previously talked about actual testing and implants of the device.

Musk and Neuralink kept quiet for a while, and it may be that the company has progressed with its famous brain implant ventures.

Elon Musk announced via his Twitter page that there would be a "progress update show and tell" for Halloween 2022 coming later this year, focusing on Neuralink's technology. No other information was shed to light by the famous tech billionaire from this announcement and did not reveal anything regarding its actual progress for the company.

After being silent for several months, there is a significant update from the tech CEO regarding the company's ventures that may very well be regarding its brain implants to soon apply for clinical use.

The event is coming by October 31, and it will have a live stream showcase for the public, with an in-person event still under speculation.

What to Expect from the Neuralink Event by October

The Neuralink 2020 update talked about its application for pigs, and in 2021 it spoke of the application for monkeys as part of its testing phase. There are massive expectations for the company regarding its use for humans, but there is no specific progress for this yet.

It may be a future update for October. Still, there are no guarantees for this, especially as Neuralink and Musk are yet to reveal what progress there is for its technology focused on neuroscience.

Neuralink and its Progress

Earlier this year, Neuralink is looking for a new clinical trials director to work for the company, a hint that the company is already looking into human trials to apply its innovation to brain implants. The initial thoughts on the company's technology focused on giving people with paraplegia the chance to walk again, but it brought many possible applications for the product apart from it.

Musk previously claimed that Neuralink's brain implants would be for a better function that will promote "AI symbiosis," or integrating the system's features for a person that will encourage using more of their grey matter.

Of course, these bold claims have no concrete examples yet, as while there are hints regarding its application for human trials, there are no confirmations regarding its actual use for the public.

The company gave the brain implants to animals during its testing phase, and one of its test monkeys died in the process already, with many flags from organizations and entities for responsible medicine.

Still, there might be a chance that the company already applied its famous "Fitbit for brains" to humans for their use, but that information is yet to come once the event takes place later this year. Halloween may get spooky with what Neuralink and Musk have to update the world via its event.
