'Future of Train Travel?' This Non-Stop High-Speed Rail 2.0 Will Change Your Perspective Towards Next-Gen Transportation

Riding aboard a train is faster compared to the usual land transportation. However, the challenge here is the waiting time before you transfer to another location.

The high-speed train designed by Priestmangoode could be a game-changer when it comes to traveling. It's not a typical bullet or passenger train since it can transfer you to another station without stopping.

The Future of Air Travel

The modern trains might be impressive because of their speeds. Just take Japan's bullet train, for example, which is capable of reaching 320km/h.

However, if you want to move to another local train in your town quickly, you will need to wait for some time before it stops. Moving Platforms' design does not work like that since it aims to transfer the passengers by special connection.

ZDNet reported that you could "literally" hop from one high-speed train to another through a unique docking mechanism. When it's about time for the transfer, you can ride a new train without the need to halt at some point.

Actually, this high-speed rail 2.0 can easily board you from Boston to San Francisco. The only separation between the two trains is an automatic door that will let you enter with ease.

High-Speed Rail Networks Can Be Costly

Priestmangoode designers know that bringing this high-speed train to reality won't be as easy as it sounds since it will require a lot of resources.

Aside from being expensive, these next-gen networks of trains might damage the environment over time. Because they run continuously, more energy is burned up as a result as it operates.

"I can't believe that across the world we are spending billions on high-speed rail, making it run on a network that was invented in the 19th Century," Priestmangoode's Paul Priestman said.

In line with its plans to expand the use of high-speed trains in the region, Priestmangoode thinks that by doing this, people won't have to worry anymore about huge train hubs.

The designers said that the train should be consistent regarding speed to save energy. This would also help to decrease the number of "short-haul flights" in an area.

Priestman added that it would also pave the way for a "seamless" passenger experience for the customers who want to reach a destination. The company believes that "connectivity" is crucial in transforming it into a "future of air travel."

Meanwhile, The Local reported that Germany's train travel has recently worsened. Instead of maintaining its status as a leader in efficiency and innovation, the country's reputation when it comes to technology is going downhill.
