Facebook is struggling now, especially as it is seemingly getting behind other famous applications in the world now, namely TikTok, BeReal, and other known platforms are available. The Meta social media application is losing its spot on the 'Top 10' list in different app stores to new platforms, with time catching up with social media.
Facebook Struggles to Maintain Spot at Top 10 List to Other Apps
TechCrunch reports that Facebook is seeing a significant struggle now, especially as the social media app is in and out of the top 10 list from the United States App Store. The company repeatedly falls out of the Top 10 list but sees more of the loss of its previous spot which reports claim to have been in and out of the list 97 times.
According to Sensor Tower, Facebook has fallen out of the list more than 59 times already, and that figure is only for the first half of 2022. Comparisons were made to its advancement in 2021, where it only lost its spot to other apps only six times during the first half of the year.
There are many reasons behind this, and one would be regarding the many boycott of the company's services, but more fingers point at its rival apps in the marketplace now.
TikTok, BeReal, Others Expand into Massive Platforms
Several of the apps that are taking Facebook's place in the world include TikTok, the famous Chinese short video social media application that is now under Oracle for its Western operations. Another app has gained traction in the current market is BeReal, a French photo-sharing platform for users that has had massive growth over the past months.
Facebook and its Significance for the World
Facebook is a massive app, especially during the late 2000s and 2010 decade, being at the forefront of social media of the time alongside Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and more. The company became part of the many experiences in the world, with it already nearing two decades in terms of operations since it first started last February 2004.
A previous claim by Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook would have 5 billion users by 2030, and it would see solar-powered autonomous planes that would help with the experience. Zuckerberg claimed this several years ago, but at the present, there is not much focus from the company regarding solar-powered aircraft for its operations.
In the present, plans did not quite go well for Facebook as competitor apps present in the marketplace are threatening its existence in the top lists. It also includes other significant apps like Twitter, Google, and more.
The company sees massive competition from apps like TikTok, BeReal, and other known names, ones that see a significant growth during this time.
