'GTA Online' Players Encouraged Other Players to Call a Random Phone Number
According to the story by Dexerto, "GTA Online" players have been encouraging other players to call a phone number in order to get a teaser for "GTA 6." Due to the frustration of how long it takes for the next title to come out, players have fallen victim to this prank.
The article shares how the "Grand Theft Auto 6" title has been "long and frustrating for fans of the 'GTA' series." Due to the lack of information, there have been a lot of "leaks" coming out with a lot of them being inaccurate as fans are just trying to get a better idea of what to expect.
Players are Then Met with an Audio Prank Thought to Come from Another Player
In a recent attempt to get new information regarding the upcoming title, the Twitter TezFunz2 shared a post calling fans to dial a number in order to get "GTA 6" leaks. The post has since been deleted but is one of the indications of the prank.
The post encouraged players to try to call the number in order to get teaser audio. When players try and call the phone number, however, they are met with an audio prank that was thought to be coming from another player.
Players Call 505-555-0175 in 'GTA Online' and are Met with Random Hold Music
Basically, the prank urges players to call the number 505-555-0175 inside "GTA Online." Although fans were genuinely hoping to get more information regarding the upcoming title, the call then leads players to get random hold music as pointed out by NoughtAFazeMom.
Despite this, fans have still been continuously trying to call the number in hopes that they could get news regarding the upcoming game. This prank, however, has been just one of many false leaks that a lot of players have fallen for.

Rockstar Games Already Working on 'GTA 6' but No Details Confirmed Just Yet
Although Rockstar Games have finally confirmed that there is a "GTA 6" in the works, there has still been almost nothing regarding the game's development.
