Verizon announced that it enhanced its systems to fight against the pestering robocalls and spam texts by introducing the latest features that would help label these for the users.
Suspicious incoming calls and texts will now have the "Call Filters" and proper labeling for texts that would help in identifying them for those who receive them.

Robocalls and spam texts are a massive problem in the current technology and communications landscape, and it is undeniably a significant issue that people face every day. Good thing for Verizon users, the company is looking at ways to help users by enhancing their systems to block them
According to Verizon, it has already blocked a significant number of acts against the public for quite some time, with as many as 26.5 billion robocalls and 11.5 billion texts coming through their systems.
One of the most promising features here is its Call Filter which would soon have labels to correctly identify unknown numbers for users instead of seeing unknown phone numbers only. It would display "health care" or "public service," as well as identify if it is spam.
Better System to Detect and Avoid Spam on Communication
It is like the "caller I.D." feature known to landlines and smartphones before, but this time, it will be more accurate as to who owns the number, provided that it is registered on their devices and through Verizon's systems.
The company is also offering a chance for people to report the texts that come to their devices, as they could forward it to Verizon's hotline "7726" and type "SPAM" before attaching the message.
Robocalls and Spam Text Problems Now
Getting robocalls and spam texts is a massive issue, and it only shows that one's personal or business numbers have been compromised through different applications and services. However, there are significant systems that may even block robocalls despite being legitimate overseas calls as the features are not yet that well adept by the FCC.
People have been receiving these spam texts and calls from different sources, and while some are from businesses trying to advertise through them, some are threat actors that aim to infect devices.
It only means that, either way, robocalls and spam texts are dangerous and may compromise people further. However, there was once a way to turn their adversity into a significant money-making experience as there was compensation for victims of the act.
Verizon is now enhancing its systems to worry less about the incoming spam communication modes on their devices that would help in their continued use of the service. It is important to note that receiving robocalls and spam texts may indicate that their mobile number got compromised and their supposed private information is already in the hands of those that capitalize on the act.
