Google Meet meetings could sometimes become boring, especially when there are no activities involved in the discussion. Soon, your virtual conferences will be much more meaningful, thanks to the new live-sharing feature.
Google Meet Adds Live-Sharing Option
When the search engine giant combines Duo and Meet into one app, many users expect that new improvements will soon be added to it.
Participating in an online meeting is not for everybody because some people are used to speaking face-to-face. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals are restricted to attending the real-time conference only.
According to a report by Android Central, Google is bringing an interesting feature for participants so they won't get bored in-between the breaks.
With the launch of live sharing in the videoconferencing platform, you can now do a lot of tasks starting from playing YouTube videos to streaming your favorite songs on Spotify.
On top of that, you can also play a few video games, including "UNO! Mobile," "Kahoot!," and "Heads Up!." With this integration, there's no reason anymore to get repetitive in front of your friends, classmates, and colleagues on the screen.
The inclusion of YouTube during live stream meetings just landed last month, per Tech Times. For this part, the users can freely choose a channel they want to access.
For projects or presentations that require visuals, this integration will be of great help, especially if you are discussing it with a huge pool of participants.
It should be noted that an approval process will be carried out before the participants are allowed to partake in the YouTube live stream.

How to Access Live Sharing Feature in Google Meet
This feature could pave the way for more icebreakers that your team can perform at any given time. To get started, here's what you need to know.
If you want to access this feature, you can view it in the new Activities tab. Once you see a three-dot menu in the same tab where Q&A options lie, just click it.
For example, when you select Spotify as the associated service in the call, the group session mode will pop out. All of the participants in the meeting will be able to listen to your playlist and soundtrack that you are listening to.
Some people might be familiar already with this feature since its official launch two years ago. At the peak of the COVID-19 era, users find solitude online with their virtual friends by playing songs on the platform.
However, at that time, only the Premium subscribers are allowed to access it. Just two to five participants can join the music session together, per Tech Crunch.
Earlier this year, Google Meet brought "live translated captions" that support Portuguese, Spanish, French, and German languages. If the speaker is speaking a foreign lingo that you haven't heard before, this could help you to understand better what he/she is saying during the conference.
