Google Wear OS Update Includes Offline Maps, Support for Streaming Apps, and More

Google Wear OS Update Includes Maps and Play Store Changes

According to the story by Android Police, aside from the Galaxy Z foldables, Samsung also highlighted changes with its Galaxy Watch 5. Aside from the new hardware, the announcement also included what software changes the device will have.

The new changes include features that are still in development. Google will reportedly help them out with specific plans to bring offline navigation to Maps and a Play Store redesign with the Wear OS.

One UI Watch 4.5 to Gets on Top of Wear OS 3.5

The new Galaxy Watch 5 and Pro will be running on a new skin from the One UI Watch 4.5 on top of the newer Wear OS 3.5. Although the company does quite a lot in trying to enhance user experience on its devices, the Play Store on its watches "is as rudimentary as on any."

This, however, won't be the case long-term since Google shared that the user experience on the smartwatch is expected to get a makeover before the end of the year. As per 9to5 Google, this also includes replete with sections for trending apps as well as custom recommendations.

Wear OS Revealed During Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Event
