Improved Specs from Last Year

With a 361-mAh battery from last year, the Watch 5 series offers a much improved battery life with 410-mAh for the Watch 5 and 590-mAh for the Pro model. Another feature that the users need to watch out for is skin temperature, which is new to the Galaxy watch. This will be added to Samsung's health metrics to give other options to the users in order for them to attain changes in their wellness.

This new series also features a new and improved design with its different color options, which include graphite, sapphire, pink gold, and silver. Because of the bigger battery for the Pro model, it is much thicker, bigger, and heavier than the Watch 5. The Pro model also highlights its titanium case design (with a black or gray option) and D-buckle.

Samsung also promised that this will be more durable as it will be 60% harder than the previous ones because of its sapphire crystal quality (Aluminum for the Galaxy 5, Titanium for Galaxy 5 Pro). Adding to the specs is that users have the option for LTE models, 5 ATM Water Resistance, Health Sensors, and 16GB storage for music and applications.

Compatibility on Different Smartphones

The Apple Watch Series 8 is currently in the works and will be launched in the next few months. If you, as an iPhone user, think that the Galaxy Watch 5 Series will be a better alternative while waiting for its release Apple Watch, then you might want to rethink your choices because, as per CNET, the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro will not work together with iOS as it only matches on Samsung Devices and Android 8 or higher models that have 1.5GB of RAM.

However, older models of the Samsung Watch might work but with limitations as some applications are only partially supported in iOS, such as Text Messaging, Voice Assistant, Email, and App Store. TechTimes provided an in-depth tutorial on how to connect your Galaxy Watches to your iPhone.
