QuakeCon 2022 is one of the biggest Xbox events of the year and has been a critical happening for fans of Bethesda and video games. What makes this year's event even more interesting is that the event is now owned by Microsoft after it bought the company back in 2021.
What Makes Bethesda Softworks so Popular?
According to the story by Mirror.co.uk, Bethesda Softworks is one of the biggest companies in the gaming industry. It is known for some of the most prominent games, as Bethesda Game Studios owns "Elden Ring" and even "Fallout."
Bethesda Softworks also owns Arkane Studios which is responsible for "Dishonored and Prey," along with DOOM's studio id Software, Machine Games which is responsible for "Wolfenstein," and much more.
QuakeCon 2022 Date and Time UK
The event is also expected to reveal Arkane's brand new title, "Redfall." There is going to be an absence, however, that fans might feel since the "Starfield" RPG, one of the highly anticipated Bethesda titles, is not going to be announced or participate in the event.
QuakeCon is reportedly going to happen from August 18 until August 20, starting at 5:15 PM for its pre-show in the UK. The main event, however, is expected to start streaming by 6 PM BST for British viewers.
Event Will Not be Returning to Dallas
The full schedule of the event can be found on the QuakeCon website. As seen on the site, there will be consistent shows and competitions that fans can watch over the span of the three-day event.
One major move that is going to happen to QuakeCon is that it will not be going back to Dallas, its main home before the coronavirus pandemic ever started. Instead, the event will be digital and available for everyone to watch online.
How to Watch QuakeCon 2022 Online
In order for fans to watch the event, all that is needed is for them to have a Twitch account. QuakeCon's official Twitch channel will be airing the event. There is no news on whether the event can be watched elsewhere aside from its official Twitch account.
The different highlights that are set to be the spectacle of the show include "Elder Scrolls Online," "Ghostwire: Tokyo," "Fallout 76," and Quake." Redfall by Arkane is expected to take up the center stage after the word broke out that the game would be delayed to 2023.
Big Updates from Bethesda
Bethesda confirmed the update, which was described as disappointing, on Twitter, noting that they have decided to delay the launches of "Starfield" and "Redfall" until early 2023.
