According to the story by California 18, just like "Stray," where gamers can play as a cat, a new game called "The Spirit and the Mouse" allows players to try out the perspective of the cat. The game is expected to circle around what was referred to as an "unexpected hero," which is a little mouse called Lila.
As per the article, cats are not the only animals that are going to show themselves in video games. After the popularity of "Stray," the new game wants to take a similar but different approach or basically through a different animal.
Players Will Help Villagers Around the Village of Sainte-et-Claire
In the game, players will be playing around a mouse called Lila who wants to help the villagers of a certain place called Sainte-et-Claire, which is a fictional town located in France. The game is reportedly expected to release before the end of the year.
"The Spirit and the Mouse" is going to be available on both PC and Nintendo Switch and will be developed by Armor Games. Just recently, the game's official Twitter account reminded gamers that mice could be very similar to cats.

For those that don't really want to play as a cat, playing as a mouse could be equally entertaining or even a bit more fun. The main challenge gamers have to face is that Lila, a guardian of the spirits, will have to accomplish certain tasks within the village.
As seen on Steam, "The Spirit and the Mouse" will be a narrative-focused adventure game that lets players search every nook and cranny of the world in order to complete certain objectives and collect different items in order to help players accomplish certain quests.

Players will be able to collect energy and happiness in order to unlock new abilities throughout the adventure to help them solve certain tasks.
