Bandai Namco Teases ’Tekken 8’ with Kazuya, Revealing Limited Details last EVO 2022 Event

Bandai Namco gave the world a significant teaser for its next game in the famous franchise, with limited details regarding "Tekken 8," focusing on the future installment of the franchise.

The gaming company wants the public to "Get Ready" for the arrival of the new game, with Kazuya Mishima letting off a mischievous grin at the end of its trailer.

Bandai Namco Esports took the EVO 2022 stage with an announcement of the global finals for the Tekken World Tour 2023 event, coming from February 4 to 5 next year. However, it was not the most significant announcement of the company as they hinted to "watch til the end" of the release video it brought to the world.

After the initial information on the Tekken World Tour and new update, a clip of Kazuya Mishima throwing Jin Kazama on a cliff appears on its original 1994 arcade look. However, it then transitions to a close-up of Kazuya's face that changes to the modern design of the game.

As Kazuya smirks into the camera, the announcer shouts, "Get Ready," and it only signifies the next game says speculations. According to ComicBook Gaming, it is the "Tekken 8" teaser from Bandai Namco, announced through its EVO 2022 showcase.

'Tekken 7' Update Arrives via EVO 2022 Announcement

Apart from the "Tekken 8" teaser clip from Bandai Namco, the video also talked about the upcoming free update for "Tekken 7" that would arrive for all gamers to access. It will focus on battle balance adjustment for all gamers of "Tekken 7" and it aims to significantly improve gameplay on the famous arcade fighting game, coming soon to the world.

'Tekken' and the Famous Fighting Franchise

"Tekken 7" is a fairly old game, and the title is already seven years since it was last released in February 2015 and brought the Mishima Bloodline dispute that gave the world more information on the story's progression. Nevertheless, the "Fated Retribution" that came years later served as an updated arcade version of the game.

The game's release is one critically-acclaimed and warmly-welcomed title by fans in the franchise, giving the world more to experience the famous title from Bandai Namco. Fans first saw the first release of the game in 1994, focusing on the arcade setup for gamers to enjoy.

Now, it is on its ninth installment with "Tekken 7" and a possible upcoming sequel for the franchise.

'Tekken 8' is shaping up, particularly with Kazuya leading the charge on the game's next story.
