Since the internet is becoming a stress reliever for many individuals, they commonly surf various websites during their free time.

Even before sleep, people prefer checking their social media accounts before closing their eyes.

Now, because they want their smartphone to have power until morning, overnight charging is becoming a thing.

However, experts warned that this could put your device at risk of battery damage.

This iPhone function is specifically designed to prevent the handset from charging once it reaches 80% battery life. After that, it will slowly add the remaining 20%, allowing you to have 100% battery power once you wake up.

Although your iPhone will charge slower after reaching 80%, it is still receiving the heat from your charger.

You will know this once you unplug your device when you wake up and the temperature is hotter than usual. Tech experts claimed that leaving your iPhone charging at night commonly increases its warmth above room temperature.

If this regularly happens, then it can damage your iPhone's battery. Because of this, overnight charging is dubbed the "killer of batteries."

Now, if you don't want this to happen to your iOS smartphone, here are some of the best ways you can maintain its battery power throughout the day.

Best Ways To Charge Your iPhone

ZDNet provided some of the best charging methods you can rely on to keep your iPhone's battery throughout the day, such as the following:

  • After you wake up in the morning, charge your iPhone for 30 to 45 minutes. During this period, you can brush your teeth, stretch, and do other activities to help you function during the day.
  • In mid-afternoon, charge your device again for 30 minutes or longer. This will allow you to reach the 80% battery power mark.
