Have you ever fancied living in a floating house to enjoy the serene beauty of the sea? Ocean Builders is looking to do that for you with their newly-designed luxurious sea pods!
Three Unique Pods
A new fleet of pod houses created for life on the water has just been unveiled by the Panama-based company, which specializes in cutting-edge marine technology. The unique houses combine fine workmanship with innovative green technology to create a luxurious yet eco-friendly living on the seas!
As reported first by Robb Report, Dutch architect Koen Olthius created three of the models for the lineup. The SeaPod is designed for aquatic living, the GreenPod is constructed for the land, and the EcoPod is the alternative that is more favorable to the environment.
The SeaPod, touted as the first eco-restorative floating home in the world, was created to solve the shortage of space in popular beach locations.
The pods are high offshore constructions that include a variety of extravagant amenities.
At the same time, each pod has a similar appearance and has a patio that welcomes breathtaking views thanks to its 575 square feet of panoramic windows.
In essence, the elevated offshore structures allow visitors and locals to live luxuriously on the water. Each pod offers 830 square feet of living space perched nearly eight feet above the waves.
Additionally, three levels make up the interior, which includes the main bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a huge storage area.

Highly-Advanced Floating Structures
Ocean Builders is going all-in with highly-advanced technologies for these floating structures. A ring will be provided to each pod owner, enabling them to regulate everything from the lighting and temperature to the shower's heat and water pressure.
To open doors, play music, and perform other tasks in the house, all you need to do is wave your palm over the device!
As if that is not cool enough, it will also employ drones to deliver food, medicine, and other necessities to the pods.
Larger ships will be used for heavy deliveries such as bags, furniture, and many more. There will also be an autonomous yacht to handle the trash collection.
When Will It Be Available for Purchase?
Regarding its environmentally friendly aspect, Ocean Builders claims to have devised a method to build a natural habitat for marine life beneath each residence. This, in turn, will support the development of robust marine ecosystems.
The first year will be spent making the pods in Panama, where production is presently taking place. The floating homes will be available for purchase starting in September, with prices ranging from about $295,000 to $1.5 million depending on additions and customization.
Ocean Builders said that by the end of 2023, the first 100 personalized pods would either be delivered or in production, and by early 2024 there will be an additional 1,000 pod rollout.
