AppleCare+ theft and loss cover is now available in more countries. A report by 9to5Mac shows that the insurance policy is now available in Spain, France, and Italy.
With this, Apple users now have two different versions of Apple's insurance policy. The AppleCare+ is an insurance policy that extends the warranty for various Apple products. It also adds coverage for accidental damage.
Back then, the insurance policy was to be added once the product was purchased, and users will have coverage for only a fixed period. However, Apple changed things around to provide more flexibility.
Apple users can now have coverage up to 60 days following the product purchase. Users can also get a rolling monthly coverage.
In some countries, the tech giant's insurance policy is more extensive: the AppleCare+ Theft and Loss.

AppleCare+ Theft and Loss

If you get your iPhone stolen or you lost it, you can get a new one for 129 euros instead of buying one for full price. All the claims for this will be handled by AIG.
To file a claim, users should have to Find My iPhone active on their device at the time of the incident and during the claims process. The device will also be disabled permanently so that it can't be used again should users find it. This is to prevent insurance fraud. To find more information about the claims process, you can head over to the Apple Website.
The policy is marketed as being able to deal with accidental damage and theft or loss. You can purchase AppleCare+ for products that are still in warranty or for ones that are out of warranty. You can also purchase it for products that have been purchased at a discounted price.
