"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" has just received a brand new patch update with its 1.6.0 update. The update fixes numerous bugs as well as adds a new free game mode.
'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' 1.6.0 Patch Update Comes with Free Game Mode
According to the story GameRanx, the new update brings "The Forgotten Saga," the new free game mode, along with improvements as well as the Sigrblot Festival. The game is considered one of the most supported games in the series, and the 1.6.0 update comes as one of the many updates for the title.
Ubisoft, the company behind the game, could be finding a lot of success with the new model; hence they have kept supporting the title despite already running for almost two years old. The full "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" 1.6.0 patch notes can be found on the official Ubisoft website.
New Update is Expected to Launch on August 2 at Different Sizes for Different Platforms
The new 1.6.0 update will be deployed on all platforms officially on August 2 at 12 PM UTC and GMT, 2 PM CET, 8 AM EDT, 5 AM PDT, and 10 PM AEST. The patch is going to be 26 GB for the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, 19.6 GB for the Xbox One, 12.5 GB for the PlayStation 5, and 17.5 GB for the PlayStation 4, and 23.7 GB for PC players.
According to GameRant, "The Forgotten Saga" is going to be a new game mode that introduces certain "rogue-lite elements" to the game. Players will be able to take a deep dive into the depths of Niflheim in order to conquer a lot of different foes as possible before becoming overwhelmed.
'Forgotten Saga' Mode is Expected to Provide a Unique Challenge
The new mode can be played as soon as gamers reach Asgard within the main quest line of the game. When players finally reach Asgard, players will be able to create a new building within their hub area of Ravensthorpe.
Once players have finished the building, players can finally try out the "Forgotten Saga mode." The new mode will be playable with no level requirements in terms of power.

Players can Also Join the Sigrblot Festival Event
Although players won't be able to take unlocked equipment or perks within the new mode, the Forgotten Saga will provide a more fair experience for everyone regardless of how long they have been playing.
The new game mode is expected to challenge "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" veterans since it should be approached with careful planning. From August 4 to August 25, players will be able to join the Sigrblot Festival event by simply returning to Ravensthorpe.
As per Ubisoft, there have been different bug fixes and improvements, even including miscellaneous aspects of the game. Aside from miscellaneous changes, the new update will bring different UI/HUD changes as well.
