Life Savvy reported that there is an upcoming Supermoon for this month, and it will be the last one to shine for the entire year, with the next one being in 2023.

In short, this is the last time to bring people together or go on a solo journey towards an open area and see the moon for one's self, in its full moon glory and closer to the planet.

This month's Supermoon is called the "Sturgeon Moon" says Fox News, and it is called that because of the abundance of sturgeon fishes in their season. The new Supermoon is coming this August, and people have to brace themselves for its last appearance in the world.

Supermoons occur when it is the full moon on its cycle, and when the lunar rock's orbit is closest to the Earth.

When is the Best Time to Watch the Sturgeon Moon?

The Supermoon will shine the brightest next week Thursday, August 11, and it will show itself at approximately 9:36 PM ET (6:36 PM PT) for the US region. It will shine throughout the night and will be visible in the morning sky by August 12.

Users may see the Supermoon even without the use of telescopes, but having one would add to the experience as they may see the moon's craters and other sights to see closer than before.

Supermoon and Its Appearances

This year saw a lot of significant moon appearances that bring the world a chance to see the natural satellite closer and more visible in the night sky, with some transitioning to the morning and still available. Last month, the world saw the year's largest Supermoon, known as the Buck Moon or Thunder Moon, which brought the world a spectacular scene.

Two months ago in June, the world also saw a Supermoon that brought different astronomical events and celestial occurrences for the month, giving the public a lot to watch from the skies. Of course, there are no significant effects it brings, but it is something to marvel at for the world, especially with those who enjoy looking up and seeing the cosmos.

Now, there is a final chance to watch another Supermoon, before it rests for another year.

This August, there is an upcoming Sturgeon moon, and while it is not as big as the one from July, it still brings a significant event for all stargazers and astronomy fans throughout the world. It may be time to whip out one's telescope and go on a picnic in the middle of the night, with loved ones, friends, and families to join.
