'The Ellen Show' Reveals The Dark Side Of 'Paddington'

Everybody loves Paddington Bear, right? It's hard not to: aside from Winnie the Pooh, there's really no other bear that's as heartwarming and lovable. If the new movie is proof of anything, it's that Paddington Bear is still a hit. The film is doing incredibly well, and did what every movie like it strives to do: Paddington introduced an entire new generation to the lovable British bear.

That being said, perhaps introducing Paddington to kids isn't the best idea - the movie's definitely got a darker side to it. Granted, it's pretty well-hidden, but it's definitely still there - the folks over at The Ellen DeGeneres Show were able to find a clip that perfectly shows off just how menacing a bear in a goofy red hat can be:

Alright, maybe that's not what you would call a 'real' clip from Paddington. It may come as a surprise, but the film doesn't actually contain scenes in which the lovable bear threatens to kill people with a very particular set of skills.

Though, if you think about it, that would certainly make for an interesting movie...

Also, how amazing would it have been for Liam Neeson to voice Paddington? Sure, you could throw Liam Neeson's voice into just about anything and it would be amazing, but after listening to the clip, a Neeson-Paddington combination seems like a no-brainer.

Not that Paddington needed the extra star power: according to Rotten Tomatoes, Paddington is doing better than most major Oscar nominees. The Theory of Everything, American Sniper, Birdman - none of them hold a candle to a movie about a lovable little bear.

Then again, we already know that Paddington does have a very particular set of skills...
