Twitter is looking at a new feature for its application and it is the "tweet counter" that displays the average number of tweets per month, next to the total number of tweets that a person has on their accounts. There are several reports before that claimed it would come for the platform, and it delivered to users already.
Some Twitter account holders claim that this new feature from the company is "rude."
Twitter Debuts Tweet Counter Feature, Showing on a Profile
According to Tech Crunch, so-called "reverse engineers" that look into developments online previously claimed that a tweet counter may appear on a person's profile on Twitter. And the new feature brings several functions here, and that is to average the number of tweets per month from a certain user, and display it on their profile.
The tweet counter would display beside the original tweet counter that shows the total number of online posts that the profile publicized since the creation of the account.
The new feature did not arrive for all, as it is currently testing for some users and is appearing on random ones online, with several reviews regarding it.

Tweet Counter is Rude for Some Twitter Users
One user from Twitter said that this new feature from the company is "extremely rude" for them, as it shows how much they tweet every month.
The feature shows the frequency of an individual's use of Twitter, and showing the tweets per month may let others know how much a person spends their time on the platform. Damon Beres said that this new feature is "brutal."
Twitter and its Features
The famous short word social media company is focusing on different ventures while it faces its massive lawsuit against Elon Musk, especially regarding the Twitter sale that was supposedly pushing through. There already is a date for its trial in their respective court, and it will be on October 17 when Musk and Twitter would formally face each other.
Nevertheless, there are still features coming from Twitter during these times, especially with a new media tweet focused by the company that would allow different formats on a single post.
That means photos, videos, GIFs, and more may appear on a single tweet, and users may even choose the order that these media will appear once uploaded.
There are still many features coming to Twitter now, but not all of them are something that users want or appreciate from the company, especially those where they feel exposed to the public. There are no solutions for the public's complaints now, but there are some things that they may do that would solve this new dispute for them.
