Chris Evans (or Captain America) recently shared why he was saddened after he replaced his beloved iPhone 6S. When he revealed that he was using an old Apple smartphone model, many fans were surprised.
Well, who wouldn't? Chris Evans, aka Captain America, is a very rich Hollywood actor who can easily purchase the latest iPhone models.
"I feel like my new phone is too heavy and I know that makes me like the oldest dinosaur in the world," shared the celebrity in an interview with Collider.
He added that one of his biggest problems is that it is hard to hold the latest iPhone 12, especially when you're using your pinky finger to support its weight.
Why Chris Evans Prefers His Old iPhone
According to CNET's latest report, another thing that concerns Chris Evans when getting the latest iPhone models is the lack of a home button.
He admitted missing this iconic feature after finally deciding to get the new iPhone 12 Pro.
Recently, the actor shared an image on Instagram showing that he is transferring data from his iPhone 6S to the new Apple smartphone.
Evans shared that he will miss the home button that iPhone 6S offers. Of course, many fans shared their suggestions, saying that he should get the iPhone SE since the only model with a home button that Apple still sells.
However, there's one major problem. The home button in iPhone 6S is quite different from the iPhone SE.
The feature on the newer model is a circular spot that uses haptics to copy the feedback and action of the original home button.
Why Chris Evans is Right-Is Home Button Really Important?
Unlike the faux-home button, the original can actually be clicked. This means that users can easily identify if they are already pressing the physical button.
Apple developed the home button so that consumers can easily switch from one app to another. Because the mechanical switch experienced high levels of usage, it also creates some issues, especially when the button is overused.
But, there's no denying that it has been among the most useful features of older smartphones. Aside from this, Chirs Evans is right about another thing.
He also shared that he prefers using a gadget until it no longer works. If many individuals have this mindset, there's a chance that the e-waste of Apple and other manufacturers will be drastically reduced.
Recently, China's iPhone sales experienced massive increases after the COVID-19 lockdown was lifted.
On the other hand, iPhone 14 orders were reduced by 10%, confirmed by Apple.
