The latest security patch for August brings tons of fixes for bugs and privacy issues.

As per the latest news story by Sam Mobile, the South Korean tech giant Samsung is among the first phone makers to have rolled out its security update for the next month.
The Korean tech behemoth has started releasing the August 2022 security patch to its latest flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and the Samsung Galaxy S22.
Essentially, owners of the Galaxy S22 series Android phones are the first to get the latest security update from the South Korean-based phone maker.
Sam Mobile notes that the new August 2022 security patch first saw the light of day in the Samsung mobile devices in the European region.
Meanwhile, users based elsewhere in the world should also get the latest update in the coming days as it expands its rollout.

And as such, if you are a Samsung Galaxy S22 user in Europe, you may now download the new security patch on your smartphone.
Sam Mobile reports that the security update of Galaxy S22 series phones carries the firmware version number S90xBXXU2AVG6.
To download the latest security patch, go straight to the Settings app. From there, select Software update, and tap the "Download and install" option.

According to a recent report by Android Central, the older flagship devices of Samsung, the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S20 are also getting the August 2022 update.

However, it appears that the rollout for these older phones is only limited to Germany as of writing for some reason.
The firmware version for Galaxy S21 series smartphone goes by the name "G99xBXXU5CVGB," whereas the older Galaxy S20 devices are getting the version "G98xxXXUEFVG5."

Samsung August 2022 Security Update: Is It Worth Getting?
Samsung has kept mum about what to expect from its all-new August 2022 security update.
However, Sam Mobile reports that it includes a bunch of stability refinements and bug fixes, making the overall experience generally smoother. It also patches a couple of privacy issues and security vulnerabilities.
