The Russian Navy might be preparing to unleash Belgorod, the currently longest submarine in the world as part of their preparation for the Cold war under the ocean.
Sevmash Shipyard, the largest shipbuilder in the country, has confirmed that this sea vessel was turned over to the navy a few weeks ago.
This could be a tool that Russia will use for a nuclear war, or if not for potential spying for their enemies.
'World Longest' Submarine is in Russia
According to an early report by 9news AU, the Belgorod ship might be inspired by the Oscar II submarine, which Russia has previously used as a storage of their nuclear missiles.
It is so long that it could also accommodate other weapons, including torpedoes and other military armament. If used properly, this could be a "killer" tool for next-level data collection.
The Cold War in the oceans might already be on the corner. That's why the Russian Navy is preparing to add this to their fleet. In the next coming years, this Belgorod submarine might be a "powerful" capability that could give them an edge when tension starts.
Interestingly, this Russian submarine is longer than the guided missile submarine of the United States. The latter only measures 171 meters in length, while the Belgorod is 184 meters long.
After years of experiment, this nuclear submarine has finally come out of its shell. It could have arrived earlier in Russia if it wasn't for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nuclear Mega Torpedoes
One of the most powerful war weapons known to mankind is the torpedo. Russia is no stranger to deploying this missile from the ocean since it has a huge submarine that can carry loads of firearms.
According to CNN's report, the Belgorod is capable of holding nuclear torpedoes.
"This nuclear 'mega torpedo' is unique in the history of the world. Poseidon (torpedo) is a completely new category of weapon. It will reshape naval planning in Russia and the West, leading to new requirements and counter-weapons," H.I. Sutton, an American submarine expert, posted on his website four months ago.
It should be noted that Russia's Poseidon is regarded to be the biggest torpedo made at the moment. It measures more than 20 meters in length and 2 meters in diameter.
Sutton said that its size is thirty times larger than the standard torpedo.
Is Poseidon Really Fit For Russia?
Although it's fascinating to know Poseidon's size, Russian President Vladimir Putin cast his doubts about its capability. As per the director of the Nuclear Information Project Hans Kristensen, this creation is still a work in progress.
