The Xbox Series X is Cutting Its Boot Time to Just 4 Seconds

Xbox Series X Booting Time is Significantly Less than Xbox One

According to the story by Dual Shockers, despite the Xbox Series X being already faster than Xbox One, the development team is planning to make the boot time even faster. The team plans to do this with the help of a new start-up animation.

The new animation will only take four seconds to play compared to the initial animation, which took nine seconds to boot. As per the publication, "this clearly means" that the system will help users by booting up 5 seconds faster compared to the previous one.

New Booting Time Brings Console Faster to 'Real Lightning-Fast Boot'

The new faster booting time will take the Xbox Series X closer "to a real lightning-fast boot." As per the article, however, it is still not known when the new animation will be replacing the initial one being used with the Xbox Series X.

The new animation, however, is already available for Xbox Insider testers, and the publication notes that the animation could be launched along with an upcoming update in August. This means that the faster boot time could come along with the Discord Voice Chat included in the upcoming Xbox software update.

SSD Brings New Opportunities and Possibilities for Developers

It is also worth noting that the upcoming new boot-up animation will also be coming to the Xbox Series S. This means that gamers will also be able to enjoy the faster booting time despite using a budget console.

Making use of an SSD instead of the HDD has been able to bring new opportunities and possibilities for developers that will help them push boundaries when it came to being able to create great games visually.
