The battle royale game "Fall Guys" is about to bring back SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles outfits by next month or in August.
Sonic-Themed Stage in 'Fall Guys'
As per the latest news story by Euro Gamer, the Sonic the Hedgehog costume in "Fall Guys" first arrived in the battle royale gaming title way back in 2020. And in 2021, Knuckles joined Sonic by November.
The Sonic Central live stream revealed last June that both Sonic and Knuckles are making their much-awaited comeback to "Fall Guys" this August.
Euro Gamer notes in its report that the comeback of the two SEGA characters comes as some sort of celebration for the 30th anniversary of Sonic and the recent debut of "Fall Guys" to the free-to-play genre.
Besides the highly anticipated returns of Knuckles and Sonic, the two are coming along with Tails, a first-timer in the world of "Fall Guys."
But beyond those exciting details, the devs of Fall Guys and SEGA kept mum about more explicit details regarding their upcoming collaboration.
However, fans of the game got a bit curious and wanted to learn more about the comeback of Sonic the Hedgehog.
And as such, data miners have started digging up the game to unravel what the comeback of Sonic in "Fall Guys" has in store for us.
A leaked screenshot of the game seemingly gave us a glimpse of a new stage in the battle royale.
That said, the data miners of "Fall Guys" went the extra mile to confirm if there will be a Sonic-themed stage at the battle royale offering.
And upon doing so, Euro Gamer says that they did not only confirm that there is actually a Sonic-themed stage, but they also got their hands on what appears to be the gameplay.
One of the data miners of the "Fall Guys," who goes by the name FGPancake, leaked the gameplay footage of the upcoming Sonic-themed stage in his recent YouTube video.
'Fall Guys' Sonic-Themed Stage Game Footage
According to a recent report by Nintendo Life, the upcoming stage goes by the title "Bean Hill Zone."
The online news outlet notes that the new "Fall Guys" stage is based on the nostalgic first level of "Sonic the Hedgehog."
Nintendo Life further adds that the game footage of the upcoming stage showcases a bunch of references from the classical Sonic gaming title.
It sports the iconic springs of "Sonic the Hedgehog," wherein players could happily bounce on.
It is worth noting, though, that the developers of "Fall Guys," Mediatonic, have yet to confirm if the recent game footage leak is actually the real deal.
But it would not take long before we get that big confirmation. It comes as the Sonic stage is about to officially see the light of day next month.
