According to the story by Dexerto, simulator games have started to rise in popularity with the likes of "American Truck Simulator" and even "Goat Simulator" finding quite a lot of success within the industry.
In an interesting turn of events, yet another simulator game has started to dethrone some of the most popular titles on the Xbox Game Pass. After its departure from Steam early access, "PowerWash Simulator" was able to beat three massive games on the Xbox Game Pass.
'PowerWash Simulator Takes Top 4th Spot
As of press time, PowerWash apparently sits in at the top 4th spot when it comes to the "most popular Xbox Game Pass games of July." The game is only behind other big games just like "Forza Horizon 5," "Rainbow Six Siege," and "Fifa 22."
Benji-Sales, an industry analyst, tweeted out that "PowerWash Simulator" has already been able to overtake some really tough competition. Aside from just "Halo Infinite" and "Sea of Thieves," the game was also able to beat the likes of "Ark: Survival Evolved" and "The Show 22."
How the Game Works
The game holds interesting dynamics as it allows players to assume the role of a power washer that is trying to build up their business by cleaning everything in their way. This includes houses, playgrounds, trains, trucks, cars, and even Mars rovers.
Players start off with a dirty scene in which they are supposed to clean. Another interesting thing about the game is that players can upgrade their power washer to something more powerful to help them do their job more efficiently.
Different In-Game Choices Players Can Choose from
Players get to choose things like nozzles and cleaning liquids for different types of surfaces and dirt while having the option to use scaffolding to clean roofs and other hard-to-reach places. The game doesn't rely on overly-complicated mechanics making it therapeutic to play.

'PowerWash Simulator's ' Initial Launch on Steam
"PowerWash Simulator" initially arrived on Steam through early access on May 19, 2021, before its full release later on July 14, 2022. The game was able to gain decent positive reviews coming from a number of different outlets.
The game even raked in a "96% positive score on Steam."
