The new Samsung 3nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) chipset's debut is now confirmed.
This new SoC tech is expected to allow the smartphone maker to have a major advantage over TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).
Various experts claimed that the new SoC architecture method of Samsung will allow it to manufacture chipsets that have better performance than those designed using the FinFET tech.
However, it seems like Samsung's new 3nm GAA chip will not be used for smartphone integrations. Here are the latest details about the new SoC architecture.
Samsung 3nm GAA Chipset's July 25 Debut Now Confirmed!
According to WCCFTech's latest report, numerous government and industry sources (reliable ones) said that the smartphone maker plans to conduct its first 3nm GAA chipset shipment ceremony.
They added that Samsung would debut the new chip architecture tech at its production facility located in Hwangseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The exact schedule would be on July 25. Individuals familiar with the tech firm's works stated that Samsung Device Solution Division's CEO Kyung Kye-Hyun, would attend the debut ceremony.
Of course, many tech critics expect Samsung to use its new 3nm GAA SoC tech for smartphone enhancements and other gadget upgrades.
But, various rumors say that this is not the case at all.
Samsung 3nm GAA Chip is for Cryptominers?
As of writing, many sources claimed that the new Samsung 3nm GAA chipset would only be used for cryptomining. They added that the first batch of the new SoCs manufactured using the new architecture method will be sold to a Chinese cryptomining firm.
Aside from this, some industry insiders also said that Samsung's new 3nm GAA chip units would be limited since the tech firm's manufacturing center in Hwangseong is built only for small-scale productions.
Although this is the case, the arrival of the new 3nm GAA SoC architecture is still interesting, especially since Samsung, via its official Newsroom post, confirmed that the innovation would lead to better power usage optimization and performance enhancement.
Meanwhile, a new ad campaign revealed that the relationship between Samsung and Google is getting better.
