As of writing, the giant tech firm prefers to be quiet, not providing that much update for its ongoing EV project called the "Project Titan."

On the other hand, various experts said that the official launch date of the new EV is still quite far, especially since Apple doesn't have that much experience when it comes to car development or production.

But, there's a high chance that the iPhone maker will partner with existing automakers so that there won't be any issues once the new Apple Car starts its mass production.

According to SlashGear's latest report, various manufacturers are expected to partner with the iPhone maker in order to design and produce the new Apple Car.

However, the gadget developer hasn't confirmed which one of these companies will likely be chosen. Now, here are the top automaker candidates that may manufacture the new Apple Car in the future:

Volkswagen

Apple and Volkswagen have already worked together to enhance the automaker's vehicles. In 2014, the iPhone maker integrated its CarPlay into the new Beetle car called iBeetle.

LG and Magna

Previous rumors claimed that Apple was considering Magna to be the one that will manufacture its first EV. After these speculations appear, Magna suddenly partner with LG, creating a new joint venture called "LG Magna e-Powertrain."

Hyundai and Kia

In 2021, various sources claimed that there could be a new joint partnership between Apple and Hyundai. After that, the carmaker confirmed this potential deal.

On the other hand, some anonymous individuals who are familiar with Apple's works claimed that the iPhone maker might borrow Kia's facility in West Point, Georgia, for the production of the Apple Car.

Apple as Apple Car's Own Manufacturer?

Of course, some critics believe that Apple also considers itself to be the one manufacturing its new Apple Car. This rumor appeared after the iPhone maker started hiring experts from various vehicle companies.

These include the former Ford executive, Desi Desi Ujkashevic. As of press time, it is still hard to conclude which company will mass produce the new Apple Car.

On the other hand, the launch date of this new zero-emission vehicle may still take years as MacRumors reported that the new Apple Car will be a fully autonomous one.

Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo shared his Apple Car 2025 launch prediction.

Meanwhile, the recent filing revealed that Apple Car's self-driving tech was able to run around 21,000 km.
