United Airlines previously sent a memo to its employees after it conducted uniform inspections. The letter specifically came from Senior Vice President of Inflight Services John Slater.
However, it seems like employees are quite disappointed because of the memo. Ever since the global pandemic began, the airline industry has been facing different issues, such as retrenchment, cost cutting, etc.
Although this is the case, many airline employees decided to stay with their companies. But, instead of getting honored for their loyalty, United Airlines seems to focus on how their staff dresses.
United Airlines Employees Not Happy With Uniform Criticism
According to ZDNet's latest report, United Airlines' latest memo angered many staff. This is because the airline company is criticizing them for uniform violations.
"It's no secret that Flight Attendants have experienced challenges obtaining uniform items," said the United Airlines employee union.
The group added that they also have issues obtaining the required full uniforms, especially since there are also new hires.
They further shared that there are some instances when they are forced to borrow from closets of other flight attendants to complete their required outfits.
Aside from this, the worker union also jokily said that while the management "recognizes" their hard work, they also look forward when the airliner is still making real efforts to solve more serious issues.
