People familiar with the tech manufacturer's work claim that suppliers are already making efforts to make the initial production a reality.
Based on the latest rumors, the 2023 version of the iPhone maker's wearable tech is expected to be the extended reality (XR) model.
This detail was first revealed by Korea IT News. The source claimed that Apple is already preparing to launch its first generation XR device this coming 2023.
Apple Mixed-Reality Headset 2023 Launch Confirmed?
According to MacRumors' latest report, the initial production for the first gen Apple Mixed-Reality Headset will not be big.
This means the tech manufacturer will produce a limited number of units. Although this is the case, critics claim that the cooperative ecosystem will grow significantly.
Meanwhile, rumors stated that the domestic parts equipment sector is already signing orders for the wearable tech's production components.
They are also believed to inspect these parts to see if they are already qualified for the manufacturing process.
As of writing, LG Display and Samsung are considered to be the main suppliers of the Apple Mixed-Reality Headset's core part, which is the XR display.
The upcoming wearable is expected to use the so-called OLEDoS, a micro OLED display that has an organic light emitting diode on a silicon wafer.
Experts claimed that this display is efficient for the likes of mixed-reality wearables since it doesn't require a color filter.
Aside from the upcoming first generation Apple Mixed-Reality model, another version will allegedly be released around 2024.
Second Gen Apple Mixed-Reality Headset
The successor of the upcoming Apple Mixed-Reality Headset 2023 model is allegedly under development. Based on the latest speculations, this new version is expected to be launched by 2024.
Rumors claim that the 2024 wearable tech will feature several substantial enhancements. These include a lighter design, call support feature, as well as LG Innotek's ultra-high definition camera lenses.
Other than these, the remaining specs will be the ones integrated into the first-generation Apple XR device.
