Google might have already set its plan to remove the "Permissions" list from the PlayStore listings, according to some screenshots from a tech writer.
Previously, the search engine giant has already gotten rid of the "Updated on" section on similar listings. The "Data Safety" section, meanwhile, has made its way to the platform. You can now determine the app data usage on your smartphone.
Google Removes 'Permissions' List on Play Store Listing
When you visit the Google Play Store whenever you want to install an app or a game, you might notice that it has a feature where you can easily see the app's required permissions without undergoing any installation process in the first place.
Of course, this is a great time saver, especially for people who want to avoid the hassle of downloading apps that they don't need at all.
However, it seems that Google has now removed the "Permissions" section on the Play Store. There's no way to pre-determine the required permissions for each application you want to use.
As XDA Developers spotted via Mishaal Rahman on Twitter, the "app permissions" listing might be saying goodbye soon to all web and mobile users.
Based on the screenshots shared by Esperdeve's senior technical editor, the latest listing update appears to have already ditched the "Permissions" list. This is bad news for people who regularly check the app permissions of specific software or game.
As of writing, Google has not yet explained why it ended up removing the useful feature. It is expected, however, that the tech firm will officially announce the reason behind this sudden removal.
It's possible that it's closely related to the Data Safety section, which was recently introduced to the Google Play Store. If this is indeed the case, the company could have realized earlier that this particular section is more convenient and easier to navigate than the deleted section.

What Does 'Settings Services' App Do on Google Pixel
In another Google-related report, 9to5Google says that the "Settings Services" app is responsible for granting permission to Google Pixel whenever it connects to other devices, sends notifications, and more.
As the Google support page explains, this app has a vital role for the following options: mobile network connection, notifications, connected devices, and location.
It should be noted that for privacy-conscious users, the "Settings Services" will gather information from your device, including your app interactions, IDs, phone, diagnostics, and even crash logs. This would be activated if you agree to turn on "Usage & diagnostics" on the Privacy settings.
Meanwhile, Google has finally unveiled the last public Android 13 beta earlier this week. In this way, select users will be able to test its stability ahead of its potential release one to two months from now.
