iPad Battery Won't Charge Despite Using a Power Adapter or Cable
Based on the reports, the iPad battery won't charge despite the power adapter or cable being used. Some users have also tried to restore the iPad software in order to fix the problem but were still unsuccessful despite doing so.
Although the issue at hand might seem like a hardware problem, the reasons behind the hardware malfunctioning are said to be software-related. As noted on MacRumors, an internal memo was directly sent to authorized service providers, the company noted that it is actually aware that users were unable to recharge the iPad mini 6 devices after the iPadOS 15.5 was installed.
'Temporary Fix' Could Happen With a Reboot of the Users' iPad Mini
Apple, unfortunately, notes in the memo that replacing the internal battery or the iPad with a new one will not be able to fix the problem. This means that the charging issue could actually be a software bug.
It remains unclear as to whether the iPadOS 15.6 beta, which is still just available to developers and enrolled Apple Beta Software Problem users, fix the problem with the iPad mini 6. The company has also advised certain Apple Retail Stores employees and service providers in order to ask users to reboot their iPad mini as a "temporary fix."
