Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018, yet fans still continue to discover hidden locations and details that are not related to the quest but still serve a purpose.
A fan, RPgoddess, recently came across a strange grave with several names of workers on it. The fan posted a screenshot of it on Reddit that showed a unique wooden tombstone with 11 names on it-with at least one more covered by the dirt it's buried in.
The grave features the names of several workers identified by numbers instead of a name. The worker numbers listed on the wooden tombstone include 1, 9,6, 26, 27, 5, 33, 19, 12, 21, and one last number that isn't readable, as reported by Game Rant.
It is also strange that worker 9 is listed twice, with one being crossed out to be replaced with a six, which may suggest 9 nearly died or worker 6 was mistaken as 9 temporarily.
The tombstone is near the Van Horn trading post and it is surrounded by shrubs and rocks that obscure it from specific angles; hence, it can be missed easily.
With the many workers listed on the tombstone, it could be atop a mass grave or is a memorial to those who were killed somewhere else and their bodies weren't recovered.
The specific death dates, however, aren't listed. The workers died between May and July 1878, 21 years before the time Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place.
The tombstone stands alone, but the wooden marker near Van Horn is a testament to characters that were important to establishing the western frontier reflected by Rockstar Games.

Players Respond
Upon posting, many players responded to RPgoddess' post. Some speculated that the workers were lost while working on the rail line or in a collapsed mine. Other fans suggest that the workers were slaves and were labored to death because of the year on the tombstone that coincides with slavery in the US.
There were also other fans that praised the storytelling of Rockstar Games.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Online
The future of RDR2 online mode, Red Dead Online, has been finally addressed by Rockstar Games, as reported by Comicbook. Many fans were eager to see significant updates to it, which even led to an online campaign called Save Red Dead Online.
In a press release, Rockstar Games stated that it has been "steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series" over the past few years. However, they reassured fans that the game will still get changes and enhancements.
