Ex-Tesla employees are now being hired by Apple, Amazon, and other tech giant firms based on the latest LinkedIn findings of Punks & Pinstripes, a private network of Fortune 500 executives.
The agency claimed that many terminated Tesla workers are now getting job offers from various tech manufacturers.
Punks & Stripes claimed that more than 450 employees of the giant automaker are now working for Apple and other industry-leading companies.
If this is true, then more laid-off Tesla employees may be encouraged to follow other ex-staff already working for other tech companies.
Ex-Tesla Employees Hired by Apple, Amazon, Other Tech Firms!
According to Business Insider's latest report, most former Tesla workers are transferring to Rivian, one of the EV competitors of Tesla.
Fifty-six of them are already working for the automaker. On the other hand, Apple and Amazon are both the second choice of ex-Tesla staff, with over 50 employees accepting the iPhone maker's job offers.
Lucid Motors, Google, Microsoft, and Meta are in the middle. These tech manufacturers were able to acquire around 40 employees who were terminated or resigned from Tesla.
The decisions of these ex-Tesla workers are reasonable given that their company is still conducting its massive layoff. Previously, The Verge reported that the automaker terminated more than 200 employees.
These dismissed workers were even the ones who helped Tesla enhance its Autopilot technology. As of press time, Elon Musk hasn't confirmed when will the ongoing layoff end.
But, he said that he plans to terminate around 10% of the company's employees this 2022.
Ex-Tesla Employees Already Received Job Offers?
Experts claimed Amazon and Microsoft already tried to hire Tesla employees in June.
These two tech firms said that they are willing to accept them if ever they want to resign, especially as the EV maker forces them to go back to their offices.
"If the Emperor of Mars doesn't want you, I'll be happy to bring you over to #AWS," said Amazon via its previous LinkedIn post.
This is not an unusual scenario in the tech industry since Tesla has a bar for its workers, meaning that employees need to be very talented before they can work for the giant automaker.
Previously, Tesla employees claimed that their attendance was being monitored by the EV maker.
On the other hand, a recent racial lawsuit against Tesla claimed that the company abuses its workers.
